Sound familiar?

You Can Still Do the Job. It Just Costs More Every Month.

If you work in healthcare right now, some of this will sound familiar.

  • You show up for your patients, and inside you are barely holding it together.
  • The charting, the admin, and the pace never let up. However fast you move, you finish the day behind.
  • You walk in already tired and walk out wondering how long you can keep doing this.
  • You are home, and your mind is still at work, replaying the cases and the unfinished tasks.
  • You miss who you were before this felt like a grind, and you are not sure that person is still in there.

When you finally say it out loud, someone tells you to be more resilient or take a vacation. A week off does not undo years of running in survival mode. Your nervous system needs something you can use in the middle of the shift, while everything is still happening.

What you actually need

Three Things a Vacation Cannot Give You

One

A reset that works mid-shift

A method that calms your body and clears your head in under five minutes, between patients, before a family meeting, or in the car before you walk in the door.

Two

A way to protect your capacity

Small, specific limits that guard your focus and energy without turning you into the difficult one on the unit.

Three

A reason that holds on the hard days

A clear sense of why you do this work, strong enough to steady you when the day goes sideways.

Introducing

The Purposeful Doctor Bootcamp

You did not train this hard to live in survival mode.

The Bootcamp is four sessions that take you from running on fumes to working with a clear head and a steady body. I built it while working full time in the ICU, and I taught it live to physicians who were where you are now. Every session is recorded, so you can start today and fit it around your shifts.

It is for physicians, nurses, NPs, PAs, residents, fellows, and anyone else carrying a clinical load. Every tool is built to work inside medicine, so feeling better does not depend on leaving it.

The four sessions

What We Cover

Take them in order. Each one ends with a single tool to practice before you start the next.

Session 1

Breaking the Cycle of Overwhelm

How to stop the spiral before it starts

Overwhelm is what happens when your brain perceives more demand than it has the resources to manage. We start by finding where yours comes from, and by giving you a reset you can run in the middle of a shift.

  • What overwhelm is, and why it is a response to pressure and never a personal failing
  • The personal habits and system pressures that feed it
  • An awareness check-in to pinpoint your own triggers
  • The 4-Minute Mind Reset, step by step

Workbook: Breaking the Cycle of Overwhelm

Session 2

Reclaiming Your Energy and Focus

From reactive to intentional

In survival mode you handle the next thing and hope nothing catches fire. This session shows you where your energy goes across a real week and how to get some of it back.

  • How to map what drains you and what restores you
  • The small limits that protect your focus and energy
  • A simple way to decide what deserves your attention today
  • How to break the "just get through it" habit

Workbook: Energy Map Worksheet

Session 3

The Power of Purpose

From scattered to grounded

When everything is urgent, you lose sight of what matters. This session brings you back to center so you start the day with intention.

  • How to reconnect with your reason for doing this work, beyond the job title
  • A method for writing your Personal Purpose Statement
  • A short practice to begin each day focused and calm
  • How to stop absorbing everyone else's stress

Workbook: The Power of Purpose

Session 4

Thriving Under Pressure

From surviving to steady

The last session turns what you have learned into a system that holds through the next hard season, built on three moves: regulate, reframe, respond.

  • How to steady your body first when the pressure spikes
  • How to reframe the moment so you can choose your response
  • What belongs in your own anti-burnout toolkit
  • What to do when old habits creep back in

Workbook: Thriving Under Pressure

  4. You show up for your patients, your team, and your family with something left for each of them.
  5. You have a plan for the next 90 days that fits the life you have now.

About Dr. Mousab

I Still Work in the ICU. I Built This There.

I'm Dr. Mousab Almusaddy, a pulmonary and critical care physician. I am still practicing full time, in the same system you are working in.

From 2013 to 2020 I worked pulmonary and ICU together, close to 80 hours a week, without a break. I looked fine from the outside. Then one night, while I was charting at home after another long shift, my daughter looked up and said, "Dad, you never pay attention."

That landed harder than any difficult case. I was in the room and I was still at work. I started looking for a way to practice medicine without handing my family whatever was left over, and I tested everything on real shifts.

The Bootcamp is what held up. I teach it as a physician who uses these tools between codes and family meetings, and who still needs them.

Mousab Almusaddy, MD, FCCP. Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician. Certified High Performance Coach.

Questions

Before You Enroll

How much time does this take?

Four sessions of about an hour each, plus a few minutes a day to practice the tool from that session. Most people take one session a week.

Is this live?

The four teaching sessions were recorded during a live Bootcamp, so you can watch on your own schedule. Q&A office hours with Dr. Mousab are live on the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm Central. They are not recorded.

What happens after the four sessions?

Your access to the sessions and workbooks does not expire, and the monthly Q&A office hours continue. If you want ongoing coaching and community, Rounds Society is the monthly membership where Bootcamp graduates keep practicing, with a live coaching session with Dr. Mousab every month.

I am a nurse, NP, or PA. Is this for me?

Yes. The examples come from my life as a physician, and the tools apply to anyone carrying a clinical load.

What if I fall behind?

There is no cohort to keep up with and your access does not expire, so there is no behind.

Do I have to leave medicine to feel better?

No. Everything here is built for people who want to stay and stop paying for it with their health and their family.

Is this therapy?

No. This is education and coaching. If you are in crisis, please reach out to a mental health professional or a crisis line first.
